UFC women's flyweights Amanda Ribas and Tracy Cortez are set to face each other at the upcoming UFC on ESPN 42 fight card on December 3 at the Amway Center in Florida. Let's take a look at how the betting odds are shaped for the event.

Based on the live odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, Ribas is a -120 favorite to win the matchup, while Cortez is the +100 underdog. As the event is still six days away, the odds might change as the fight draws near.

Going by the current betting lines, a $1000 bet on the Brazilian can provide users with a payout of $1833.33 if Ribas wins the contest. The same wager on the underdog can fetch a payout of $2000 if Cortez emerges victorious.

Amanda Ribas is currently the No.15 ranked UFC women's flyweight contender. The 29-year-old boasts a pro-MMA record of 11 wins against 3 losses. The Marcelo Ribas pupil holds wins over high-profile UFC athletes such as Mackenzie Dern.

In her last fight at UFC on ESPN 36, Ribas succumbed to a split decision loss to Katlyn Chookagian.

Tracy Cortez, on the other hand, currently sits at the No.13 spot on the flyweight ladder. The American holds an impressive record of 10 wins against a single loss. Moreover, the 28-year-old is undefeated in her UFC career.

In her last octagon outing at UFC 274, Cortez registered a unanimous decision win over Melissa Gatto.

When Tracy Cortez said that she doesn't understand why Amanda Ribas was sticking around at flyweight

In the leadup to her fight with Amanda Ribas, Tracy Cortez said in a recent interview with MMA Junkie that she doesn't understand why the Brazilian decided to stick around at 125 lbs even after her latest flyweight loss to Katlyn Chookagian:

"You know that's a bold move, moving up to 125 [lbs]. I just personally don't understand it. Maybe she just feels healthier. I don't know what the reason behind it is. I hope she brings her best."
