French-Algerian striking legend Anissa Meksen places great importance on how she prepares for her fights, which includes planning when she arrives in the country where her next fight will be held.
In a sit-down interview with the South China Morning Post, 'C18' shared why she split her training camp between France and Phuket Fight Club in Thailand for her impending world title bout:
"I started my training camp in France for one month, then three weeks now in Phuket for acclimation because the jet lag is horrible for me and I need to feel good for the fight. So I'm in Phuket right now, and I feel very strong and better."

Fans will see Meksen compete for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Friday, Nov. 8, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Her opponent will be Filipino-American star Jackie Buntan, who is currently on a three-fight winning streak. She punctuated her growing dominance in ONE's striking scene with a hard-fought unanimous decision win against Italian star Martine Michieletto at ONE Fight Night 20.
Anissa Meksen points out Jackie Buntan's biggest flaw
A veteran of over 100 kickboxing and Muay Thai wins, Anissa Meksen can easily see the holes in her opponents' game.
In the same interview, Meksen broke down Jackie Buntan's biggest weakness:
"She is very strong. She has good boxing but she does the same thing all the time. She has good boxing, she has a very good one-two-hook combo. She's good when she goes forward. That's it. I faced a lot of strong opponents, and for me, she's simply just another strong opponent."
ONE 169 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
