Sept. 21 proved to be a rough day at work for Anthony Joshua. 'AJ' locked horns against Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Before the bout, Joshua was riding a four-fight win streak that included victories over Francis Ngannou and Otto Wallin. Dubois, on the other hand, entered the matchup with back-to-back wins against Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic. The fight proved to be a one-sided affair as Dubois outclassed Joshua and hurt him badly on several occasions. The clash eventually ended in the fifth round with a KO victory for 'Dynamite'.During his post-fight press conference, the 34-year-old Joshua stated that he intended on continuing his boxing journey, refuting the recent retirement rumors. Furthermore, 'AJ' praised Dubois and his team for their victory."And probably you're asking, 'Do I sitll wanna continue fighting?' Of course, I wanna continue fighting. We took a shot at success and came up short. And what does that mean now? We're gonna run away? We're gonna live to fight another day. And that's what I am, I'm a warrior. And also before I finish, we have to give credit to our opponent as well, Daniel. When I sign up to fight opponents, I don't really like them in my head anymore. But now that it's done, I take my hat off to him and say well done to him and his team."Check out Anthony Joshua's comments at the post-fight press conference below:With the victory, Dubois retained his IBF heavyweight belt and became only the third fighter to beat Joshua in a professional bout. Before Saturday night, only Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz had managed to score victories against the Brit.
