Aung La N Sang is more than ready for his highly anticipated return to action on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver, where he will face Shamil Erdogan in a middleweight match at the Ball Arena in Colorado.

This readiness is echoed by his confidence heading into the clash, as he is confident about his striking supremacy against the undefeated Turkish fighter.

In an interview with Nick Atkin's ONE Championship News before the match, the former two-division MMA world champion claimed that Erdogan would immediately go back to his bread and butter of wrestling once he lands a clean strike on him during the early phase of their bout.

'The Burmese Python' claimed:

"As soon as I touch him he's gonna shoot right in. And we'll fight everywhere. It's not gonna matter."

Currently, the pride of Myanmar is on a three-fight win streak, which dates back to November 2022 at ONE 163 when he TKO'd Yushin Okami. Then, he added Gilberto Galvao (in January 2023 at ONE Fight Night 6) and Fan Rong (in May 2023 at ONE Fight Night 10) to his pile of victims with a TKO and submission victories against them, respectively.

Aung La N Sang is excited to put on a show in front of American fans in Denver

For the second time in his ONE Championship stint, Aung La N Sang will fight in front of the American crowd and the Denver crowd. This hyped up the Kill Cliff FC athlete, who stated that he would savor it because they are amazing.

Furthermore, he will enjoy the perks of not having to travel across the globe to compete because he now resides in the U.S. He shared this during the ONE 168 press conference:

"It's amazing. I love fighting in front of the Denver crowd, the American crowd is amazing. And the fact that I don't have to be get lagged, so that's kind of cool."
