ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai world champ Allycia Hellen Rodrigues has never let her pregnancy stop her from putting in work at the gym.

The Brazilian is slated to make her long-awaited return at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video. She'll unify the atomweight Muay Thai belt with America's Janet Todd, who attained the interim title by beating Lara Fernandez last July.

ONE Championship shared videos of Rodrigues training with an obvious baby bump in parallel with a video of her training at full strength. In both cases, it looked like she’s going hard on the pads.

"The atomweight Muay Thai queen stayed BUSY 😤 Will Allycia Hellen Rodrigues remain champion when she takes on interim titleholder Janet Todd on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video? 👀"

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues explains how motherhood has empowered her as a fighter

The 24-year-old is now a mother, which she claims has empowered her as a woman and as a fighter, telling ONE Championship:

"I was at the peak of my career and had just won the belt, but we were also facing a pandemic right at the time. So, I believe that everything that has happened in my life has been at the right time."

Rodrigues added:

"After I returned to Thailand, the restart was a bit difficult, but today there's nothing in training that I can't do. I didn't need to change anything, I just needed to give it time and respect my body."

The Brazilian's lone appearance inside the circle to date came in a title-winning victory over promotional star Stamp Fairtex in August 2020.

Meanwhile, 'JT' is riding a seven-fight winning streak into the title unification bout at ONE Fight Night 8. She has scored finishes over Wang Chin Long, Ekaterina Vandaryeva, and Anne Line Hogstad.

Rodrigues is attempting to regain undisputed championship status. Todd, meanwhile, is hoping to become an undisputed two-sport world champion.

She gained the atomweight kickboxing belt from Stamp Fairtex in February 2020 and most recently secured the interim Muay Thai strap against Lara Fernandez in July 2022.

Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 8 on March 25 to see the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world title unification bout between Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and Janet Todd, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The action will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
