Undefeated in his 22 outings as a pro, reigning champion Murtazaliev will attempt to make the first defense of his title this weekend. A win against a former champion like Tszyu will help him make a case for title unification bouts with Terence Crawford and Sebastian Fundora.
Meanwhile, Tszyu (24-1), looking to redeem himself after his loss to Fundora, will be eager to clinch a statement win against the Russian. A win this weekend might earn 'The Soul Taker' a second go against the unified champion.
Interstingly, Murtazaliev will go into the fight as a +400 underdog, with the challenger as a -500 favorite.

Bakhram Murtazaliev vs. Tim Tszyu
Round 1
Murtazaliev initiates the action with quick jabs. Tszyu is trying to string up jabs of his own. A right hand and a left hook land for the champion. Tszyu fires back with a one-two.
A left hook from up close lands for the champion. The fighters are not taking any feeling out rounds and are going at each other right from the start. Tszyu is trying to walk down the champion down.

Round 2
Both men are throwing bombs, and a right-hand lands flush for the champion. A nuclear right hand drops Tszyu.
He recovers and the fight restarts. Tszyu goes on the offensive with a right hand, but a left hook by the champion sends him back to the canvas once more. He recovers and as the fight restarts, the Australian connects with a right hand, but he is still on wobbly legs. He is going at his opponent with reckless abandon.
Double left hooks by the champion wobble Tszyu. Another powerful punch drops him once again. He recovers and is saved by the bell.

Round 3
The ring-side doctor checks on Tszyu before clearing him to continue the fight. Despite being dropped multiple times in the prior round, Tszyu is not backing up and is on the front foot, trying to head-hunt the Murtazaliev.
A champion connects with a powerful left hook and drops Tszyu once again. The Australian survives the count.
As the fight restarts, Murtazaliev pounces one Tszyu with a barrage. Realizing their fighter was one wobbly foot and in no condition to continue the fight, Tszyu's corner threw in the towel.
Murtazaliev is the victor.
