“I’m aware of what he’s doing” – Bibiano Fernandes understands Stephen Loman’s fighting style

Former bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes has done his homework ahead of his eagerly-anticipated return to the circle this Friday night at ONE on Prime Video 4. ‘The Flash’ will take on rising contender Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman in a bout that could establish the next man in line for a bantamweight world title opportunity.

Just days out from his showdown with Loman, Fernandes spoke with The MMA Super Fan to share his thoughts on the Filipino warrior and what he expects from the Team Lakay standout:

“I know he likes to throw his left hook. He likes to throw that punch. I know he likes to kick. I know he likes to shoot sometimes. But I’m aware, you know what I mean? I’m aware of what he’s doing. That’s it.”

With back-to-back wins in ONE Championship, Loman will do everything in his power to knock off one of the biggest names in ONE history.

Bibiano Fernandes warns Stephen Loman of the power he packs

Bibiano Fernandes believes his power is often overlooked. ‘The Flash’ sent a warning to his ONE on Prime Video 4 opponent Stephen Loman during his conversation with The MMA Super Fan:

"I have good power. Nobody has ever dropped John Lineker before, but guess what? I did it. I dropped John Lineker. I dropped Kevin [Belingon]. I dropped many fighters. Sometimes people only think about my jiu-jitsu. But you know what? I can be dangerous everywhere."

Not really known as a finisher with his fists, Fernandes’ fight with John Lineker showed that the ONE legend could certainly pack a punch. Stephen Loman would be foolish not to respect the power of Fernandes, but the likeliest path to victory for ‘The Flash’ will be on the ground where he has found most of his success.

Out of Fernandes' 24 pro-MMA victories, nine have come via submission, while only two have come via KO/TKO.
