Connor Tierney vs. Jonny Graham took place at BKFC Coventry on Aug.10 at The Skydome Arena in Coventry, UK. The 165-pounders competed in the main event, which was contested for the inaugural BKFC UK welterweight championship.
Tierney came into the bout following a lengthy layoff after losing Jake Lindsey at BKFC 37: London last March. He entered the bout with plenty of experience as he had a 7-2 professional record.
Graham, on the other hand, came into the bout with an unbeaten 2-0 professional record and looked to extend his winning streak. He most recently competed at BKFC 55: Leeds last November, where he defeated Abel Radomski.

Graham regrouped in the second round and began to get the better of some of their exchanges and landed a clean hook, which wobbled Tierney momentarily at the end of the round.
However, Graham's aggressiveness was almost detrimental to his title aspirations as Tierney turned the tables on him and began finding success by increasing the volume of his strikes and landing.
Both fighters maintained their relentless pace in the final two rounds, which made for quite a display of toughness as they both earned a knockdown but couldn't finish touch on the bout. Graham and Tierney lived up to and exceeded expectations as Conor McGregor took to his X account to share his reaction to the main event.
