On December 29 in Bucharest, Romania, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were detained on suspicion of rape and human trafficking. Tate, a controversial influencer, was recently handed a further 30-day prison sentence in Romania for his alleged involvement in organized crime and human trafficking.

Romanian anti-organized crime agency DIICOT spokeswoman Ramona Bolla recently claimed that prosecutors had asked for a second 30-day extension to hold the Tate brothers in jail while the investigation continued. The court approved the request and Tate's attorney Tina Glandian spoke out against Romanian authorities. She argues that her client's prolonged detention is illegal under international laws.

Glandian revealed in a recent interview with Fox News that Romanian authorities can detain Andrew Tate for up to 180 days and can extend the detention without formally charging them with any crimes.

Glandian also revealed that, contrary to common knowledge, the initial investigation began as early as April 2022, rather than December last year. Andrew Tate and his brother launched a criminal complaint against the women falsely accusing them. Glandian stated:

"This investigation did not start in December when they were arrested. This investigation started back in April when there were false accusations made. The police raided their residence and realized that the accusations were false. They did not arrest anybody, they did not charge anybody."

She added:

"At that point, the brothers filed criminal cases against the two women who had falsely accused them. Many people have not heard about these criminal complaints. They are active and open as another investigation in Romania right now."

Andrew Tate shuts down rumors of being diagnosed with lung cancer

Andrew Tate has denied reports that he has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The report was apparently corroborated by someone in his inner circle.

Tate's management team recently claimed that 'Top G' has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Furthermore, a CT scan allegedly belonging to Tate revealed that the kickboxer-turned-influencer is suffering from lung cancer. Adin Ross, an American live streamer and close friend of Tate's, also took to Twitter to confirm the rumors.

However, Andrew Tate has rubbished the rumors on Twitter, writing:

"I do not have cancer. My lungs contain precisely 0 smoking damage. In fact, I have an 8L lung capacity and the vital signs of an Olympic athlete. There is nothing but a scar on my lung from an old battle. True warriors are scarred both inside and out."
