Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer and former kickboxing champion, has had his custody extended in Romania for the third time. He, along with his brother Tristan, were arrested in December 2022 on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group. Diicot, Romania's organized crime agency, is currently investigating the brothers for alleged sexual assault and exploitation.

The Bucharest Court has ordered a 30-day extension to Andrew Tate's detention while the investigation continues. This means that the brothers will remain in custody until at least the end of March. The case has attracted widespread attention due to Andrew Tate's public persona and controversial statements about women. The charges against the brothers are serious, and the investigation is ongoing.

Previously, the custody of Andrew and Tristan Tate had been extended until 27th February, but it has now been prolonged for another 30 days by the Bucharest Court in Romania. Meanwhile, two Romanian women, Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu, who were also detained along with the Tate brothers, will be released from custody but will be kept under house arrest instead.

Earlier on Tuesday, prosecutors applied for the latest extension of custody for Andrew and Tristan Tate in Romania. The previous extension was granted by judges who cited the capacity of the defendants to exert constant psychological control over their victims as justification. This suggests that the judges believe the brothers pose a significant threat to the alleged victims and that there is a risk of tampering with evidence or fleeing the country if they were to be released from custody.

Andrew Tate discloses cryptocurrency seizure in latest legal woes

Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer and Instagram influencer, was arrested in December on charges of human trafficking and rape. He currently resides in Romania, where authorities have confiscated several luxury items belonging to him, including cars, homes, and watches, with a combined value of millions of dollars.

The scale of the seizures indicates that the authorities are taking these charges seriously and are working to ensure that any ill-gotten gains obtained through criminal activities are recovered.

According to Mateea Petrescu, a spokesperson for 'Cobra' and his brother Tristan, Romanian police have also seized hardware wallets that contained digital assets. Petrescu confirmed that Andrew Tate's wallet contained five Bitcoins, which currently has an estimated value of around $111,339, while Tristan's wallet held approximately 16 Bitcoins. In total, the value of the seized digital assets is estimated to be around $467,625.
