Fans reacted to Ian Machado Garry's training footage as he prepares to take on No.3-ranked welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 on Dec. 7. Garry stepped up to fight after Belal Muhammad pulled out of his first welterweight title defense against Rakhmonov due to a bone infection.
Recently, Garry posted a video of him training with Muay Thai coach Nattawat Johphromma of Bangtao Muay Thai Gym in Phuket, Thailand. The 27-year-old is seen doing pad work with the famed coach in the video.

Fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts. Most fans were impressed with Garry's striking and wished him the best for the fight. However, some were unconvinced and opined that Rakhnomov would get the better of the Irishman on Dec. 7.
Rakhmonov vs. Garry marks one of the first significant fights between next-generation UFC fighters. While Rakhmonov possesses a well-rounded game, No.7-ranked Garry is perceived mainly as a striker despite having shown respectable wrestling in recent outings.
Both men carry the weight of their undefeated records in their professional MMA careers. This adds a layer of tension and high stakes to their five-round title eliminator fight in the UFC 310 co-main event slot.
Ian Machado Garry aims to take Shavkat Rakhmonov's '0' and win the belt
Shavkat Rakhmonov opened as a -320 betting favorite against Ian Machado Garry, a +260 underdog. While the oddsmakers seem confident in Rakhmonov's ability to get the job done at UFC 310, Garry plans to spoil the party for the Kazakhstan native.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Garry said:
"Honestly, I was pushing for the Shavkat fight. I was pushing for the undefeated vs. undefeated. We've trained together. We know how good we are. We both respect each other. He probably respects me a lot less than I respect him, which is okay. That's the way it should be at that point in our careers. But the truth is, I will take his '0', and I will take that belt."
