It seems Anthony Smith doesn't want to see Neil Magny being called out by UFC welterweight contenders anymore.

After Kevin Holland's split decision loss against Jack Della Maddalena at Noche UFC, 'Trailblazer' called out Magny to be his next opponent. He took to Instagram to send the veteran welterweight contender a message and added that the loser of the fight has to get their hair cut.

While many were excited at the prospect of a Kevin Holland vs. Neil Magny clash, Anthony Smith feels like 'The Haitian Sensation' needs a break. Given that Magny has already competed thrice this year, the No.8-ranked light heavyweight contender may even have a valid point.

During an episode of the Believe You Me podcast, Michael Bisping brought up Kevin Holland's call out to Magny earlier this week. Reacting to Bisping's words, Smith said:

"Man, can we leave him alone? Everyone's calling out Neil Magny. Leave that man alone."

Neil Magny is coming off a hard loss to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 292. The Irishman dismantled the 36-year-old over three rounds to earn two 30-26 scores and a 30-24. Before that, Magny defeated Philip Rowe via split decision after suffering a first-round submission loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 283.

Anthony Smith wants to see a Valentina Shevchenko vs. Alexa Grasso trilogy fight

Anthony Smith wants to see Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso run it back for the third time.

Grasso managed to retain her UFC flyweight title against Shevchenko last weekend via a split draw. The fight was an absolute barnburner, with both fighters having their moments over five rounds.

While many thought Shevchenko had edged out a decision victory, the judges scored the contest 48-47 (Grasso), 48-47 (Shevchenko), and 47-47. Judge Mike Bell controversially scored the final round 10-8 in favor of Grasso despite it not being a dominant round for the Mexican fighter, causing the split-draw result.

In the same episode of the Believe You Me podcast, Anthony Smith broke down last weekend's main event and called for a trilogy to settle the rivalry. He said:

"I think it needs to be concluded. At least for me, there's more to be seen, I want to see more. I thought that Grasso didn't fight that great if I'm being honest... It's very likely that Valentina made the adjustments and made her look like that. I thought her range was off, I think we could see a better fight out of them, which I'm really excited about."
