22-year-old Columbian rising star 'Panda Kick' Johan Estupinan feels he is inching ever closer to a shot at ONE Championship gold with every explosive performance.
Estupinan is fresh off a second-round knockout finish of Moroccan standout Zakaria El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Prime Video last weekend, and he believes he is positioning himself for a crack at the division's belt soon.
He told veteran ONE Championship broadcast analyst Mitch 'The Dragon' Chilson in the ring after the fight:
"I think so, I'm working towards the championship. If it is not next time, I will get there, I will be a champion. I will be fighting for the championship soon."
The reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion is none other than 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Competing in the stacked ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai division, Estupinan is quickly climbing the ranks and coming into his own as a star. Only time will tell if he can continue this meteoric rise and book fights with the division's elite.
ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Prime Video went down live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, last Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
