Danielle Kelly is excited for ONE Championship’s landmark live event in the United States later this year and would love to be a part of it, whether as a competitor or spectator.

The promotion is set to descend on the U.S. for the first time on May 5 for ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video happening at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

It will be headlined by the trilogy fight between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and former division king Adriano Moraes.

During the post-fight interview for her most recent outing, submission grappling ace Danielle Kelly said that if given the opportunity, she would love to experience the atmosphere of ONE’s first U.S. show. Ideally, she wants to be a competitor in it, but if not, just catching the other world-class athletes doing their thing would still be a blast.

Danielle Kelly said:

"If I'm offered to attend, I would love to. I want to be a part of the first US card under ONE Championship. It would be really cool. And I don't mind if I competed on that card in the U.S, but I mean, if not May, then hopefully the next one whenever ONE Championship has their next U.S. card.”

So far, superstars that we know are slated to compete on ONE’s first U.S. show include Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Stamp Fairtex, Mikey Musumeci, Roberto Soldic, Sage Northcutt, Aung La N Sang, Reinier de Ridder, and Tye Ruotolo.

ONE Fight Night 10 will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Danielle Kelly is “proud” of her performance against the much heavier Ayaka Miura

American grappling ace Danielle Kelly was taken to the limit in her most recent fight by a heavier opponent in Japanese judoka Ayaka Miura and yet took the win. It is something she is very happy and proud of.

The Silver Fox BJJ affiliate outlasted “Zombie” Miura in their featured catchweight submission grappling showdown at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video last week in Bangkok, winning by unanimous decision.

Danielle Kelly admitted that her opponent’s size and judo prowess proved to be a tougher challenge than she expected. She was forced into difficult positions early on but she managed to swing the tide in her favor as the fight progressed by digging deep into her extensive grappling experience.

Post-fight, the American fighter said:

“I’m proud of it. I’m literally 10-15 pounds lighter than her. I agreed to fight at catchweight with her, and she’s really good, really strong.”

She further shared her experience fighting Miura on Instagram, saying:

“Got the win tonight! Against a skilled opponent. I really had to dig through this one. Many people can say what they want but anytime I was in a bad spot, I escaped and attacked.”

The win over Miura was part of Danielle Kelly’s push to pile up wins in the hopes of competing for a submission grappling world title in the very near future.
