American grappler Danielle Kelly is stoked for ONE Championship’s first-ever event on US soil.

Fighting closer to home has been Kelly’s dream since the promotion teased the possibility of hosting ONE events on American grounds.

Speaking to ONE Championship about the significance behind their entry into the US and what that entails for its star athletes, Danielle Kelly said:

“But yeah they’re doing a lot for every sport and you know I think that this means that it’s going to be good for the athletes, you know. They’re gonna be just as top tier with what we currently have in the US and other promotions.”

Since the pandemic, ONE Championship has taken careful measures to expand its reach to more than 170 countries world-wide. Getting into the US market will be a significant step for the organization in comparison to where they started as a business twelve years ago.

Not only are they hitting strides on a global scale, but they’re also promoting a safer and more responsible competitive environment for its athletes. ONE is the leading organization in the world right now that has implemented medical hydration checks for each athlete before entering the competition.

This prevents athletes from dehydrating themselves in order to make weight, which is still an ugly reality prevalent in other organizations. At ONE, the results have been game-changing, as athletes are healthier and stronger before they fight inside the Circle.

Their mission is therefore to lead by example and give athletes the platform they need to influence the world in a positive way.
