ONE submission grappling standout Danielle Kelly is helping to push boundaries inside the circle. Not only is she helping to showcase ONE Championship’s platform that it has given to submission grappling, she’s one of the top female athletes in the sport.

As a key member of the contingent U.S. athletes who compete under the ONE Championship banner, ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video could be a possible destination for her.

The event will mark ONE Championship’s debut event on U.S. soil. With that, the promotion is looking to stack the event with names that the audience will already be familiar with and competitors that will make the most out of the spotlight.

With Demetrious Johnson and Sage Northcutt already announced for May 5 in Broomfield, Colorado, Kelly is hoping to join them on the card.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Danielle Kelly spoke about making a quick turnaround after her upcoming contest at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video:

“I hope so! That would be pretty cool. I’m not gonna expect it, I’m just gonna keep training. If I do [make it to the card], that will be really awesome. If I don’t then I’ll just keep training for whoever, I just have to stay ready. It will be pretty cool to be in the first-ever U.S. event.”

Both ONE Fight Night 7 and ONE Fight Night 10 are available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Danielle Kelly is ready to live up to the hype against ONE Championship’s best grapplers

After signing with ONE Championship less than a year ago, Danielle Kelly has risen right to the forefront of ONE’s submission grappling divisions.

Thanks to the platform that ONE has put the sport on, the likes of Kelly, Mikey Musumeci and Kade Ruotolo have been able to share the stage with some of the biggest names across all of combat sports.

As submission grappling becomes a bigger part of ONE Championship, the level of competition is also going to grow.

In the same interview, Danielle Kelly appeared very optimistic about her growing profile in the combat sports world and how that will affect her inside the circle:

“I look at it as a huge positive thing, for sure. But it’s also, I wouldn’t say weight on my shoulders, that’s not the right word. I know that there’s a lot of eyes on me, which is a good thing but also, competitive-wise, it’s work. I need to be on my feet and be ready for anything that comes my way in the 115-pound division.”

On February 24 at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Kelly will return to the circle after picking up her first submission win at ONE on Prime Video 4.

Once again facing an MMA fighter, former ONE women’s strawweight world title contender Ayaka ‘Zombie’ Miura will stand in her way and try to take away the hype surrounding the 27-year-old.
