Dante Leon wants to run it back with Tommy Langaker in ONE Championship: "That's a great match"

Dante Leon wants to avenge his loss to Tommy Langaker if he has it his way at ONE Championship.

The Canadian grappler opened his promotional account with a sensational submission over Bruno Pucci, needing just over two minutes to tap the Brazilian in their lightweight fixture at ONE Fight Night 26.

Eager to build on his triumphant outing, the Pedigo Submission Fighting athlete knows a match against his old nemesis is the ideal one to make for his sophomore outing.

On the possibility of a rematch, Dante Leon told ONE Championship:

"I think that's a great match, a great step up in competition, another great match to take for me, and I think it's a great match for the fans here at ONE."

Leon and Langaker duked out on the mats at the IBJJF Pan-American Championships when they were relatively at the start of their black belt careers in "The Gentle Art."

Though the Norwegian standout beat him on points, the two-time world champion did make life difficult for him.

Five years on, both men have tremendously grown in their careers, with a whole lot of accolades. The only one missing from their collection is the ONE world title.

Should they cross paths and light up the global stage with a barnburner, a possible shot at 26 pounds of gold could also be in the offing.
