Reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty may have lost his two-sport world champion status during the main event of ONE 168: Denver due to the first-round knockout defeat at the hands of Superlek Kiatmoo9 during their ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title showdown. But, he is now plotting a massive comeback.
In a recent Instagram post that he published, Haggerty hinted at a revenge tour, as he captioned his post with:
"Dare to be freat. #Thecomback 📸: @muaythaivisuals"

The post featured three photos of 'The General,' and his caption signaled his intention to reclaim the 26-pound golden belt he yielded to his Thai rival.
Before that setback, which was witnessed by the Ball Arena crowd in Colorado, Haggerty was on a six-fight win streak. He began the streak with a win over Taiki Naito in December 2020 via unanimous decision up until his successful world title defense against Felipe Lobo in February 2024 at ONE Fight Night 19 through a third-round TKO finish.
Currently, the British superstar holds an 8-3 win-loss card under the world's largest martial arts organization.
Jonathan Haggerty says that he has moved on from his defeat from Superlek and returns to square one
Although that loss from 'The Kicking Machine' was a hard pill to swallow, Haggerty has fully accepted the outcome and has moved on from that setback.
Along with that adversity, he was able to pick up a few valuable lessons along the way that he will surely use to bounce-back and become a better fighter.
The Keddles Gym, Knowlesy Academy, and Team Underground-affiliated athlete has revealed this during his most recent interview with the Sky Sports MMA Club Podcast, where he stated:
"I'm back together, I'm picking the pieces up, and back to the drawing board."
