Conor McGregor provided his thoughts on losing half a million dollars in a bet against Francis Ngannou.

Before Ngannou's heavyweight title showdown against Renan Ferreira at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants, which took place this past Saturday, McGregor took to X in a now-deleted post and predicted that the former UFC heavyweight champion was going to lose by knockout. As a result, the Irishman wagered $500,000 on Ferreira. McGregor would have received $1.7 million for the Brazilian's victory. He said:

''Hello, folks, The Notorious Conor McGregor here. Fight night, fight night, fight night... the Mac is back with his winning bets. I have a 100 per cent winning ratio on these bet. Ngannou is losing by KO tonight. 12/5 the Brazilian is to knock him out and I’m putting half a million on it and I’m going to win back $1.7million. That’s it. It’s a ruthless business and I’m a ruthless man."

Nevertheless, McGregor's money went down the drain as Ngannou secured a first-round knockout. Following the fight, 'The Notorious' took to X in a now-deleted post and expressed his thoughts, writing:

''The rich get richer. I'll get that back.''

In another post, McGregor stated that he should have wagered as he did before the title fight between Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr. when he put a million dollars on a knockout in the main event of UFC 307. However, in the case of Ngannou vs. Ferreira, he was influenced by the odds. He wrote:

''Should've went KO either way like I done for Pereira Rountree. It was always a KO. The odds got me lol.''
