Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia locked horns in a highly anticipated grudge match on April 20. The fight was for the WBC super lightweight title and took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Prior to the bout, Haney was undefeated with a spectacular professional record of 31-0. This included victories over names like Regis Prograis, Vasiliy Lomachenko and George Kambosos Jr.

Garcia, on the other hand, was coming off an eighth-round knockout victory against Oscar Duarte in December 2023.

Ahead of the clash, 'KingRy' lost his battle against the weighing scale and came in overweight by 3.2 pounds.

Garcia started the fight on an aggressive note and landed a heavy left hand on Haney that appeared to hurt 'The Dream'. 'KingRy' proceeded to land more shots on his opponent in the opening round.

Haney landed a left hand of his own in the third round that rocked Garcia.

'KingRy' delivered a huge moment in the seventh round as he scored a knockdown. 'The Dream' had never been knocked down before in his professional career.

Garcia scored a second knockdown in the 10th round of the fight. Another left hook by 'KingRy' in the same round stunned Haney.

'KingRy' went on to knock Haney down for the third time in the 11th round of the contest.

The fight eventually went the 12-round distance and Garcia was declared the winner by a majority decision. The three judges scored the bout 112-112, 114-110 and 115-109 in favor of 'KingRy'.
