Duangsompong Jitmuangnon reveals his game plan against Batman Or.Atchariya

In a highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai battle, Duangsompong Jitmuangnon will meet Batman Or.Atchariya in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 4 on February 10. The fight card will be broadcast live from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

Duangsompong understands the gravity of the situation as he will be fighting in headlining match against a very skilled opponent. This flyweight Muay Thai striker discussed his game plan for the fight and his pursuit of a $10,000 performance bonus from ONE.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Duangsompong Jitmuangnon said:

“My game plan is to walk toward him, but I have to be more concise than before. I think this match will not go the distance because I plan to [get the finish and] receive a bonus.”

The flyweight Muay Thai fighter has long been awaiting his debut in ONE Championship at Lumpinee Stadium. Many of his training partners have already competed such as Komawut FA.Group and Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi and it's only made him hungrier. Duangsompong added:

“When I knew that I was going to fight at ONE Lumpinee, I was really happy and excited. After watching my former opponents like Komawut FA.Group and Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi appear on ONE Lumpinee, it made me excited. Plus, I have never fought wearing small gloves before.”

Duangsompong Jitmuangnon in following Rodtang's footsteps

Duangsompong is a Thai-born athlete who trains alongside the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon. After feeling Rodtang's power in sparring, Duangsompong may have no fear against Batman.

Like Rodtang, Duangsompong Jitmuangnon wants to perform well and advance to an arena show under ONE Championship. He explained:

"I will do my best in this fight so I can get promoted to fight on ONE Championship’s [arena] cards. It has always been my dream to compete in the big events of ONE Championship."

Similar to Rodtang, he wants to hold a prestigious world title in ONE. He added:

“When I watch Rodtang fight, I want to become a ONE World Champion and earn a lot of money like him.”

The flyweight Muay Thai battle between Duangsompong Jitmuangnon will meet Batman Or.Atchariya is expected to produce fireworks. Lumpinee Stadium will be cheering loudly for these two fighters on February 10 at ONE Friday Fights 4.
