Ryan Garcia is currently the focus of the boxing world following his recent racist outburst online. The former world champion has been shunned by much of the combat sports community, who have implored him to get help dealing with his issues outside the ring.

Garcia's concerning behavior began ahead of his clash with Devin Haney in April, with 'KingRy' remaining adamant that his controversial activity, both online and in person, was nothing more than an act.

But Haney's co-promoter, Eddie Hearn, shared his skepticism at the claims of the 25-year old, and shared legitimate concern for him.

Following the recent racist remarks made by the pugilist, Hearn was interviewed by The Stomping Ground, where he shared his thoughts on Garcia's situation. He said this:

"I think he's a decent person, but his head's fallen off and he needs help ASAP. I noticed the first press conference for Haney-Garcia, I was looking at [Garcia] going, 'What has happened to this bloke?' I've met him a few times, and I looked at him like, 'What has happened to this guy?' Everyone was like, 'No, he's just selling the show, etc.'"

He continued:

"I saw him at the press conference on fight week and it was even worse. He ended up performing pretty well in the fight... Now we're seeing it wasn't [an act], and it isn't. Some of the stuff that was said yesterday is just kind of the end of the road with it now."

Ryan Garcia expelled from the WBC by chairman Mauricio Sulaiman

Ryan Garcia has had a wild 2024, from his controversial behavior ahead of his clash with Devin Haney to his failing two drug tests for ostarine, leading to a one-year suspension.

However, his latest incident may be something that ostracizes him from many fans and fellow fighters, as 'KingRy' recently made numerous racist remarks on X.

His comments have seen him expelled from the World Boxing Council (WBC), one of boxing's biggest sanctioning bodies, as the chairman of the WBC took to X to announce the following:

"Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with out organization. We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan's well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse."
