Filipino firecracker Lito Adiwang believes Jonathan Haggerty's evolution will give him a pivotal advantage over Superlek Kiatmoo9 when they run it back in the main event of ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.

The Londoner puts his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title on the line inside Ball Arena against the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, who is out to claim Haggerty's crown and two-sport world champion status.

But with 'The General's' stellar track record in the division — he's gone 4-0 since moving up from flyweight — Adiwang expects Superlek to have a tough time finding faults in the Englishman's near-perfect system.

Speaking to Tempo recently, 'Thunder Kid' shared:

"I feel that Haggerty got the advantage this time around even though in their first encounter Superlek won. I see that Haggerty has evolved and got sharper, so I give him the advantage in this fight."

Despite backing Jonathan Haggerty for success in the 'Centennial State', the former No.5-ranked strawweight MMA contender still expects this world title scrap to be a back-and-forth matchup at ONE 168.

After all, Superlek has been unstoppable heading into this Denver showdown, winning ten successive fights against Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Takeru Segawa, Nabil Anane, Danial Williams, and Tagir Khalilov.

Should everything go to plan for the Thai megastar, the watching world can expect him to push Haggerty to the limit when they cross paths in a matter of days.

Rodtang believes Superlek will have a tough time against Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168

Echoing a similar sentiment as Adiwang is none other than ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Though he has his money on Superlek claiming his second ONE gold on fight night, 'The Iron Man' expects Jonathan Haggerty's power to spell danger for his fellow countryman.

He told Sportskeeda MMA:

"Superlek's biggest advantages are many. He's never been knocked out, he's hardly ever been knocked down, maybe just two or three times in his career. An he's great at fighting clever without putting himself at unnecessary risk. But it's not gonna be easy for him this time. Haggerty is huge, and has great power."

North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire ONE 168: Denver card live in U.S. primetime for free. Meanwhile, tickets to catch the show live in person can be purchased here.
