Fabricio Andrade knows that he can’t change the past, but he can control his future and that’s exactly what he plans to do this Friday night.

‘Wonder Boy’ will return to the ring at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for a main event rematch with John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker for the vacant ONE bantamweight world championship. It will be the second time the Brazilian heavy hitters have squared off with 26.4 pounds of gold on the line. The first time, unfortunately, ended in a no-contest after an accidental low blow by Andrade forced the contest to be called off.

In an interview with MMA Underground, Fabricio Andrade spoke about leaving the past in the past. He is ready to make the most of his second chance at becoming a ONE world champion:

“We cannot change the past, but there’s what’s in front of me right now. I got a chance to do it all again and do it even better than the first time and now I’m just super excited to do this rematch against him again.”

Andrade vs. Lineker II will headline a stacked lineup this Friday night. Fans in North America can catch all the action live and for free on Amazon Prime Video with an active subscription.

Fabricio Andrade believes he’s better than John Lineker no matter where the fight goes

Despite not leaving Malaysia with a ONE world title strapped around his waist in October, Fabricio Andrade believes he showed why he is the best bantamweight in the world. He’ll attempt to put a stamp on it Friday night when he once again clashes with John Lineker.

‘Wonder Boy’ delivered an impressive performance in their first meeting, and the heavy-hitting Brazilian let fans and his opponent know that they can expect an even better Fabricio Andrade when he enters Lumpinee Stadium at ONE Fight Night 7:

“He’s gonna see a totally different fighter in this one. I’ve been focusing on so much different stuff and I know I’m better than him in any area. If he goes to the ground, I’m better than him. If he stays standing, I’m better than him.”

Aside from the ONE world title implications, both fighters will enter their headliner with undefeated records under the ONE Championship banner, leaving both pride and ONE Championship gold hanging in the balance.
