Fabricio Andrade believes John Lineker’s team was giving up on their fighter at ONE on Prime Video 3.

‘Wonder Boy’ seemed to be on his way to becoming the ONE bantamweight world champion last month. Lineker came out firing per usual, but Andrade remained calm and started to batter ‘Hands of Stone’ with accurate straight punches. The 25-year-old landed a beautiful knee to the body in the third round and followed up with a brutal knee to the groin, which led to the former champion being unable to continue.

During an interview with The MMA Superfan, Andrade had this to say about Lineker’s team looking desperate before the no-contest ending:

“He was tired, man. I saw his corner and everybody was desperate, you know. They were like bringing him up because they knew he was getting knocked out. I could see that they were desperate, you know, and he was like all blood on his face, he was breathing heavy, he was scared. I knew the fire was gone.”

Lineker and Andrade are wasting no time to find out who’s the best bantamweight in ONE Championship. They have signed on for the rematch at ONE on Prime Video 7 in February 2023.

Fabricio Andrade says he would fight Bibiano Fernandes if the former world champion beats Stephen Loman at ONE on Prime Video 4

Fabricio Andrade expects to beat John Lineker and demolish the bantamweight division for the foreseeable future. Therefore, ‘Wonder Boy’ is keeping a close eye on other top contenders, including Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman's fight against former champion Bibiano Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4, which can be seen for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.

During the same interview with The MMA Superfan, Andrade had this to say about potentially fighting Fernandes if he beats Loman:

“If he wins, if he beats Loman, then he’s the guy to fight. I think it all depends how his next fight plays out. He’s not young anymore but if he still wants to fight, let's see how he does. If he wins the fight then I would fight him.”

The No.4-ranked bantamweight, Kwon Won Il, is fighting at ONE 163, the same weekend as ONE on Prime Video 4, against Mark Abelardo. Kwon Won Il has an opportunity to shake up the division while Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker determine who’s king. The division is arguably the most stacked in ONE Championship.

ONE 163 is live and free on Prime Video for North American fans.
