Fabricio Andrade already has his next opponent lined up should he get past John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

‘Wonder Boy’ will once again square off with Lineker with the ONE bantamweight world title on the line in the February 10 main event. The pair previously met in the ONE on Prime Video 3 headliner, but an accidental low blow to Lineker forced the bout to be called off and ruled a no-contest, leaving the ONE bantamweight world title vacant. They’ll run it back next month, but Andrade already has an eye on his next opponent.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Fabricio Andrade told the promotion that Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman is the next man in line and once he finishes John Lineker in February, he’ll do the same to the Team Lakay standout:

“If it’s not Stephen, who’s gonna be the next one? There are not so many people at the moment, let him come. I will like to fight him, you know. I wanna stay busy, I wanna finish Lineker without injuries then I’m ready to knock him out as well.”

Undefeated inside the circle, Loman earned his opportunity with a unanimous decision win over ONE Championship legend and 11-time bantamweight world champion, Bibiano Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November.

Fabricio Andrade expects more wrestling in his rematch with John Lineker

Fabricio Andrade’s first meeting with John Lineker in October was a highly-entertaining brawl until an accidental low blow in the fourth round stopped the bout in its tracks. During the three-and-a-half rounds, fans were treated to an incredibly striking display, with both Brazilians lighting each other up with heavy hands.

Andrade nearly finished the contest just before the ill-placed knee, leading many fans to believe that in a rematch, ‘Wonder Boy’ will have the decided advantage on the feet. Believing this himself, Andrade anticipates ‘Hands of Stone’ will wrestle a lot more in their rematch:

“The only thing that he’ll try to do more is to wrestle with me. He has a little bit of success in his attempts to put me down. So that’s probably what he’ll try this time you know.”

Lineker did find some success in getting Andrade to the canvas in their first meeting, but keeping him there was the problem. In a few short weeks, we will find out if ‘Hands of Stone’ can solve that problem.
