Danny Kingad has been in the fight game for his entire professional life, and he's perfected the art of blocking out unnecessary noise.

The Filipino standout is deep into his training camp preparing for his showdown against Adriano Moraes at the stacked ONE 169 card on Nov. 8 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.

In the middle of all that training, Kingad said there have been outside noise talking about his sudden decision to change gyms earlier in the year.

Kingad has been with the famed Team Lakay stable since he started his ONE Championship tenure in April, but he decided to represent Lions Nation MMA in his last fight against Yuya Wakamatsu at ONE 165.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Kingad said he was aware of what the fans have been saying about his decision to change camps.

Danny Kingad, however, doesn't care about the often baseless criticisms and would rather turn his focus on putting on the best showing against Moraes.

He said:

"I think the most difficult obstacle we faced during this past year was the differences in the opinion of people about our transition to this new gym. But honestly, if you ask me, I don’t really care about these things. I’m only focused on getting myself better and moving forward with my new team."

While Kingad is in a relatively new setting ahead of his fight against Moraes, this won't be the first time that 'The King' will take on the former ONE flyweight MMA world champion.

Kingad once challenged Moraes for the flyweight MMA throne but succumbed to a first-round submission loss at ONE: Legends of the World in November 2017 in Manila.

Nevertheless, Danny Kingad is determined to put that loss to the backburner and restart his march back to world title contention.

Danny Kingad aims another shot at gold after duel against Adriano Moraes

Danny Kingad once challenged for a piece of ONE Championship gold, and he's now determined to get back to that previous space he once was in.

In an interview with Manila Standard, Kingad said a win over Moraes could launch him to a shot at the ONE flyweight MMA world title that former holder Demetrious Johnson vacated after retiring from MMA.

He said:

"There's no frustration, but I'm being more diligent now in reviewing how my fellow contenders are fighting and studying their tapes more. Instead of feeling frustrated, it motivates me knowing that I have to get through the hump to get to the world title. I really want to get that world title."
