Former ONE flyweight world champion Geje Eustaquio will finally make his long-awaited return to the Circle in front of a rocking Mall of Asia Arena crowd in Manila.

‘Gravity’ is slated for a homecoming at ONE 162: Pacio vs. Brooks, as he takes on Hu Yong on the main card of the promotion’s return to the Philippines after over two years.

Eustaqio, 34, last fought in 2020 when he outpointed Song Min Jong at ONE: Inside the Matrix III. The Team Lakay staple has gone 3-1 since losing his world title to Adriano Moraes in 2019, holding notable victories over Kim Kyu Sung and Toni Tauru.

The Filipino wushu specialist proved that he still has a lot left in the tank when he knocked out ‘Dynamite’ with a beautifully timed spinning back kick to the midsection at ONE: Masters of Fate.

During his time off, Eustaquio appeared as a coach on ONE Warrior Series: Philippines alongside his Team Lakay teammate and reigning ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio.

‘The Passion’, of course, will be headlining the event in his bid to defend the 125-pound throne against trash-talking challenger Jarred ‘The Monkey God’ Brooks.

Meanwhile, Eustaquio will have his hands full against Hu. The Chinese star racked up five straight wins inside the Circle before being stopped by Yuya Wakamatsu in his last outing.

The ONE Warrior series alum, who goes by the moniker ‘Wolf Warrior’, is another fast-rising star and is part of the new breed of talented Chinese fighters in the promotion.

His last win came against Yodkaikaew Fairtex via a dominant unanimous decision last year.

Geje Eustaquio, other Team Lakay members, added to stacked ONE 164 card

The passionate Filipino fanbase has been waiting for fight announcements for their heroes since ONE’s return to Manila was announced earlier this year. The long wait was finally over on Monday, October 24, as ONE unveiled the full card for ONE 164.

Joining Pacio and Eustaquio are several of their Team Lakay stablemates, who are looking to make a splash in their respective divisions.

Fourth-ranked ONE flyweight contender Danny ‘The King’ Kingad will look to bounce back from his previous loss to Kairat Akhmetov. He’ll be taking on another surging fighter, Gurdarshan Mangat.

The same goes for Jeremy 'The Juggernaut' Pacatiw, who wants to return to the winning track against the dangerous Tial Thang.

Rounding out the card is women’s atomweight fighter Jenelyn Olsim, who will be seeking to break into the top 5 of her division when she takes on the hard-hitting Meng Bo.
