Gabriel Sousa says having a camp to specifically prepare for Mikey Musumeci has 'made a lot of difference'

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) star Gabriel Sousa will make his ONE Championship debut at ONE 167 on June 7 and he is eager to make it a successful one.

Sousa's opponent inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, will be ONE flyweight submission grappling world champ Mikey Musumeci.

As Sousa gets ready to match up once more against 'Darth Rigatoni', this time under the ONE Championship umbrella, the Brazilian star could not be any happier with the amount of time that he has to prepare for what could be a fight of the night contender.

In an interview with Vitor Freitas Comunica, Gabriel Sousa said:

"I've never trained for a championship or a fight for eight and a half weeks. And that has made a lot of difference."

Sousa knows that Musumeci will be out for blood when they share the Circle at ONE 167 as Sousa remains the only man to date with a submission victory against the Cobrinha BJJ and Evolve MMA product.

Defeating Musumeci via north-south choke is no joke because of how difficult it can be at times to find a weakness in his defense, but if there is a man who can do it again, it will be Sousa.
