Johan Estupinan won't let anything get in his way of claiming ONE Championship gold.
The undefeated 22-year-old sensation from Columbia is off to a hell of a start in his Muay Thai career.
Thus far, he has amassed a perfect 25-0 record with three of those victories coming under the ONE banner. After establishing himself as a legitimate contender for the flyweight title, 'Panda Kick' is prepared to run through anyone who stands between him and climbing to the top of the mountain.
"Whoever steps in front of my dream is going to be hit by a train," Estupinan told MMA Sucka.
Making his promotional debut in May, Johan Estupinan immediately captured the attention of fight fans with a 27-second knockout of Douta Omori at ONE Friday Fights 64. Two weeks later, he added another big win to his resume, besting Zafer Sayik at ONE 167 in Bangkok.
In his most recent appearance at ONE 168: Denver, he bagged another highlight-reel finish, KO'ing Sean Climaco to open the promotion's critically acclaimed return to Ball Arena in The Mile High City.
Estupinan took home a $50,000 bonus for his efforts, a payday that he says will go a long way toward helping his family in Colombia.
Johan Estupinan takes another step toward potential clash with 'The Iron Man'
Though Estupinan's performance at ONE 168: Denver was mostly a dominant one, 'Panda Kick' was surprised at the power that Sean Climaco produced inside the Circle.
"Yeah, he definitely surprised me," he said during his post-fight interview. "I came in forward and he hit me, but I wasn't too hurt, but I was just surprised but everything went excellent. I came ready and we got it done."
Nevertheless, it was another impressive performance for the young gun and that victory will undoubtedly get him one step closer to a potential clash with the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
