Former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo weighed in on Kamaru Usman's upcoming trilogy fight against Leon Edwards, and had an interesting opinion to add.

On his official YouTube channel, Henry Cejudo posted a video with Chael Sonnen, building up to UFC 286 and the Usman-Edwards title fight. Interestingly, he advised Usman and his corner to switch up the referee, from Herb Dean.

"I wouldn't put Herb Dean as the referee, when you see a lot of things of that nature happen in a fight, you have to switch up the referee."

Henry Cejudo was alluding to some of the rather questionable resets that came about in duo's second fight as a result of Dean's officiating. A few times, Dean reset the fighters to a neutral position citing inactivity, when Usman had the clinch and the supposed advantage. In fact, this separation eventually led to a head-kick knockout sequence, making it all the more important.

Given Usman's wrestling nature, some may be inclined to agree with Henry Cejudo and say that his referee should have given him more time to work the position. Others, however, have come out in favor of Herb Dean.

Kamaru Usman will be heading to London looking for revenge, as he aims to win his welterweight strap from Leon 'Rocky' Edwards. After being dominated for the majority of their second fight, Edwards stunned the world with a head kick finish of Usman to become the welterweight champion.

Usman beat Edwards in their first fight back in 2015, and was in firm control, using his well-rounded skill set.
