Fans gave mixed reactions to Leon Edwards' custom shorts for the upcoming UFC 304 title fight. In recent months, fighters like Alex Pereira, Dustin Poirier, and Max Holloway have donned custom-designed shorts that reflect their personalities and cultural heritage.

UFC 304 is set to take place in Manchester, England on July 27. Edwards, who was born in Jamaica and raised in the UK is the biggest local star on the card. 'Rocky' is also the only undisputed active UFC champion from the UK. He will attempt the third defense of his welterweight title against Belal Muhammad in the headlining bout.

The UFC and its outfitting partner Venum designed custom shorts for Edwards with British and Jamaican symbols. The pictures of these shorts were first posted by MMA journalist Christopher De Santiago on social media. @ChampRDs re-posted the pictures on X:

Leon Edwards will attempt to settle his rivalry against Belal Muhammad at UFC 304

The UFC 304 title fight between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad is the rematch of their first fight that took place in March 2021. Edwards was returning to action after 19 months due to multiple bout cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic and hoped to extend his win streak to nine at the time.

However, the fight ended in a No Contest after an accidental eye poke from Edwards rendered Muhammad unable to continue. Since the unceremonious ending to the fight, Edwards has defeated Nate Diaz, Kamaru Usman (twice) to win and secure the first defense of his title, and Colby Covington.

Meanwhile, Muhammad has amassed a five-fight win streak of his own, having defeated Demian Maia, Stephen Thompson, Vicente Luque, Sean Brady, and most recently, Gilbert Burns.

Heading into the fight, Edwards is a -215 favorite while Muhammad is a +185 underdog.
