Denis Puric plans to take out Elias Mahmoudi and continue his journey to the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title.
In June, Puric suffered a unanimous decision kickboxing defeat against Rodtang Jitmuangnon. 'The Bosnian Menace' is now scheduled to return to the ONE flyweight Muay Thai division where he's coming off consecutive wins against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat (second-round knockout) and Jacob Smith (unanimous decision).
On Dec. 6, No. 3-ranked Puric will face fifth-ranked Elias Mahmoudi at ONE Fight Night 26. The 39-year-old Bosnian-Candian recently appeared in an interview with ONE and had this to say about his fight against Mahmoudi:

Following his win against Smith, Rodtang had a heated staredown with Japanese kickboxing superstar Takeru Segawa for their inevitable 2025 matchup. Therefore, it's unclear if ONE Championship will wait for 'The Iron Man' to crown a new flyweight Muay Thai world champion.
Nonetheless, the winner between Denis Puric and Elias Mahmoudi has a strong argument about being featured in the vacant title fight. Puric is coming off two solid wins, and Elias Mahmoudi secured a first-round knockout against Edgar Tabares last time out.
Another matchup to keep an eye on at ONE Fight Night 26 is No. 4-ranked Nakrob Fairtex vs. Kongthoranee Sor Sommai. Nakrob has won five consecutive fights, while Kongthoranee recently defeated Tagir Khalilov. Both fighters have looked impressive in the division and deserve a big opportunity.
