Francis Ngannou returns to MMA to face Renan Ferreira for the PFL heavyweight Superfight championship

After departing from the UFC early last year and having a remarkable two-fight stint in boxing, Francis Ngannou will finally return to the MMA cage this weekend, Oct. 19, at PFL Super Fights: Battle of Giants.

'The Predator' will face PFL heavyweight Superfight champion Renan 'Problema' Ferreira. The Brazilian giant is, by the numbers, bigger and heavier than Ngannou. Ferreira has a four-inch height, two-inch reach, and a slight weight advantage over the Cameroonian.

As far as MMA records, Ngannou has a 17-3 record with 12 knockouts, four submissions, and one decision. As for Ferreira, he's not that far behind at 13-3 with 11 knockouts, one submission, and one decision.

An interesting layer to this match-up is the losing column. While they both have three losses in MMA, Ngannou lost only via decision a Ferreira has been stopped twice (one KO, one submission). However, it must be noted that Ngannou suffered his first KO loss at the hands of Anthony Joshua in boxing.

PFL Super Fights: Battle of Giants happens this weekend at The Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
