Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade of Brazil has not seen action since his November 2023 kickboxing world title loss to 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty.
But the 27-year-old Evolve MMA / Tiger Muay Thai representative has been itching to get back ever since.
Now on the cusp of his highly anticipated return to action, Andrade says he is happy for the chance to step back inside the ONE Championship ring.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Andrade expressed his excitement at his upcoming world title defense.
'Wonder Boy' said:
"To be honest, I’m very happy to be able to fight again. It’s been a long time since I last fought. I’m happy to be back inside the Circle, doesn’t matter who the opponent is, but I’m happy to get going again."
At his best, Andrade is an absolute force to be reckoned with at bantamweight. His ability to break opponents down with clean and powerful striking has led to an epic run through the ranks in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Notable victories include wins over Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, Kwon Won Il, and Brazilian rival 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker.
The 27-year-old is set for a rematch with Kwon for early next year.
