Russian flyweight contender Tagir Khalilov was happy that he was able to break his two-fight losing skid last June 6 at ONE Fight Night 32 with a unanimous decision victory over Chinese athlete Liao Shixu in their catchweight Muay Thai scrap inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
During his post-fight interview with veteran journalist Nick Atkin, Khalilov said that he missed the winning feeling since he last won a fight in November 2023, as he explained:
"Yes, hello everyone. My feeling was great because I missed this feeling, you know. Really missed the feeling."

Tagir Khalilov identifies Taiki Naito as his next target opponent when he returns to action in kickboxing
During the same interview with Nick Atkin, the 32-year-old striking maestro expressed his desire to face Japanese star Taiki Naito in a kickboxing clash and answer his previous callout from him.
The Archangel Michel and Samingpri Muay Thai Gym-affiliated athlete wants to shake things up in the flyweight kickboxing rankings since both of them are ranked fighters in the weight class, as he stated:
"Naito also called me out, he told me to come fight [under] kickboxing rules. I accepted, but they gave him a Muay Thai fight. I hope he wins this fight, and we can fight with him in kickboxing rules."
The 'Silent Sniper' also secured the victory over Johan Estupinan during the same card with a majority decision victory.
