Anissa Meksen fired back at Stamp Fairtex and her team for making false claims about her missing weight as the reason for her withdrawal from their scheduled mixed-rules bout.

ONE atomweight kickboxing contender Anissa Meksen has been under a lot of scrutinies since failing to show up at her weigh-ins on January 12. She thought she had laid the matter to rest after announcing that she had a “family emergency” as the reason for her withdrawal from the highly anticipated mixed-rules bout against Stamp Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 6: Superbon vs. Allazov.

However, Stamp and her team didn't let it go. Through word-of-mouth, they recently accused Meksen of being overweight by 3 kgs during fight week.

Meksen has since responded to her claims with photo evidence of herself being the right weight at “52.5 kg” (115 pounds) one week before their scheduled bout. She fired back at Stamp and her team with the following caption on Instagram:

“I’m professional and always on weight ! I have 125 fights and never miss a check weight !
@stamp_fairtex I never run away, if you want face me sign the contact for the kickboxing title shot in February 25 …
@yodchatri you promised me a title shot in February 25. If stamp don’t want to face me I take anyone at atomweight and strawweight for the kickboxing title ! 3 years I’m waiting for it, it’s my time 💯

ONE CEO unsure whether Stamp Fairtex will agree to fight Anissa Meksen in the future

Chatri Sityodtong is unsure whether a future showdown between Anissa Meksen and Stamp Fairtex is warranted after what they’ve been through in the last couple of weeks.

Meksen's unexpected withdrawal from the co-main event caused some significant line-up changes within the card. To save the event, Stamp and ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak agreed to a strawweight kickboxing showdown for the fans.

Despite winning the match, Stamp Fairtex is still upset with Anissa Meksen. She’s not particularly confident that Meksen will show up to their agreed-upon kickboxing world title match in February or March. Not knowing what the situation is going to look like in a few days’ time, CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong explained the following to SCMP MMA:

“I wanted to make Anissa versus Stamp for the interim kickboxing title but it takes two to tango. I don’t think there is a suitable opponent if Stamp doesn’t want to fight, or Anissa. I don’t want to take some random person for the interim title.”
