ONE Championship fans have sorely missed seeing lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion Christian Lee flaunt his elite striking and grappling abilities inside the circle over the past two years. Recently, the 26-year-old hinted that he will be more active in his immediate future.

During an interview on The Brian Campbell Experience, Lee was asked how he plans to fulfill the responsibilities of being a double-champ and how he will defend both crowns. He answered:

"Yeah, definitely. After this, I plan on staying active, so after this fight, I'll be moving right on to defend my welterweight belt."

'The Warrior' took an indefinite hiatus from competition in December 2022 following the tragic passing of his youngest sister, Victoria Lee.

During his time away, he focused on strengthening his bond with his family, which included preparing his younger brother Adrian Lee to start his run in ONE's lightweight MMA division earlier this year.

Now ready to resume his own MMA career, Lee's long-awaited return to action will serve as the main event of ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 as he defends his 170-pound MMA strap against the undefeated Alibeg Rasulov.

Christian Lee brushes off ring rust concerns

Some fans are worried that Christian Lee may suffer from ring rust in his return to action at ONE Fight Night 26, given his long layoff. However, the Evolve MMA and Prodigy Training Center athlete dismissed such concerns during a recent interview with ONE. He said:

"I feel the most prepared that I've been back before a fight in a long time. I'm really looking forward to getting back in there."

ONE Fight Night 26 will go down inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The entire event will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
