Daniel Cormier recently threw in the towel and conceded a war of words with Chael Sonnen after the latter brought up a narrative involving Jon Jones. Cormier admitted that Sonnen can't be matched in what ended up being a hilarious exchange.
Cormier and Sonnen are currently serving as opposing coaches on 'The Ultimate Fighter', and have been making the media rounds to promote the season and their involvement with the show. Red Corner MMA posted a clip via Broadcast Boys, which shows the two being tasked to throw three insults at each other to determine who would win a smack talk battle.
Sonnen brought up Cormier's losses to Jones as being a blemish on his MMA record, while he recalled what transpired in his own clash with the heavyweight champion. 'DC' was at a loss for words at how 'The American Gangster' was able to spin his defeat into a dominant win and mentioned that the former middleweight contender won the smack talk battle by default. He said:
"No, [no response]. That's why he's 'The Bad Guy'. I can't talk trash with this dude. He's like one of the greatest trash talkers in the history of the game."

What did Chael Sonnen say about his bout against Jon Jones?
Chael Sonnen has been known to be an incredible smack talker throughout his career and showcased that by completely shifting the narrative of his bout against Jon Jones.
Sonnen challenged Jones for his light heavyweight championship in the main event of UFC 159, where he lost via first-round TKO. Despite the loss, 'Bones' suffered a broken toe while he was going for the finish and needed assistance after the fight.
In the aforementioned clip, Sonnen used that to claim victory over Jones and noted that the injury is why Jones is unable to fight Tom Aspinall. He said:
"I ripped Jon's toe off... and I threw it into the second row. I am the linear champion to this day and that includes over 'DC'. The entire reason [Jones] won't sign to fight Aspinall is cause he's limping around from the foot that I gave him... And I would just probably bring that up. I would bring up reality is what I would tell Daniel... That I beat Jon and you didn't."
