In epsiode #2333 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan and Shane Gillis lauded the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. Halfway through the podcast, Gillis began by stating that he had hated Presley throughout his life, up until he "watched him."
The 37-year-old American stand-up comedian said:
"My whole life, I hated Elvis, I thought he sucked and then I watched him. I guess I don't know whoever liked Elvis, I thought [was because he was] too popular."
After which, Rogan linked the hate that Presley receives to the criticism that the Australian Rock band AC/DC also endures. The long-time UFC commentator quipped:

"It's too obvious. It's too obvious, but it’s really good. It's like AC/DC. Like,' Oh, you like AC/DC.' Bit*h listen to 'It's a Long Way to the Top.' Listen to that song… You don't like that song, you don't like America. You don't like freedom, you don’t like hard work, shut the fu*k up. It's just too easy. Elvis was too easy. Look how big he was. And he wasn't that old."
Rogan went on to praise Presley's live rendition of 'Unchained Melody,' pointing out how he interacted with the music and the emotion that audiences perceived in his voice. Rogan added:
"God damn that's good…. Oh my god, that's so good. That's what we live for." [1:55:28]

Merab Dvalishvili impresses Joe Rogan again
This weekend at UFC 316, bantamweight kingpin Merab Dvalishvili submitted Sean O'Malley in a rematch. After Dvalishvili's dominant performance, Joe Rogan, who was impressed by 'The Machine's' brilliant display of endurance, wrestling, and most importantly, consistency, said:
"Well Merab, no one works harder than you, and that's evident in your training. It's evident in what you do inside the octagon. There is no one that has a gas tank like you. Its kind of freakish... Science needs to study you."
