Itsuki Hirata shows how she can be “untouchable” in the Circle 

ONE Championship showcased Itsuki Hirata’s skills and showmanship from her win against Nyrene Crowley.

After winning her first two fights with ONE, Hirata solidified herself as a prospect to watch. In February 2020, the Japanese-born fighter made her third appearance in the Circle against Crowley. ‘Android 18’ was confident throughout the bout, leading to a third-round TKO and a post-fight celebration.

ONE recently re-posted the highlights on Instagram with the caption saying:

Hirata extended her undefeated promotional record to 4-0 by defeating Alyse Anderson in September 2021. The streak ended in her fifth fight when Jihin Radzuan emerged victorious by split decision.

Five months later, ‘Android 18’ bounced back with a unanimous decision win against Lin Heqin, setting up a potential number one contender matchup against Ham Seo Hee at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

Itsuki Hirata shows appreciation for ONE Championship giving her another chance at atomweight

Itsuki Hirata vs. Ham Seo Hee was initially scheduled for November 2022. Unfortunately, Hirata missed weight and failed hydration, leading to the bout being rescheduled.

The elite atomweights will now meet on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8. During an interview with ONE Championship, ‘Android 18’ had this to say about getting another chance at atomweight:

“When I got an offer for this fight, I was full of appreciation for everything... I really appreciate ONE Championship giving me a chance again.”

Atomweight world champion Angela Lee is recovering from the tragic passing of her younger sister Victoria Lee, making it unclear when she plans to fight again. As a result, the winner of Hirata vs. Ham could be fighting for an undisputed title shot or an interim title shot. Before worrying about what’s next, each fighter is locked in on their elite opponent.
