Jake Paul's six-fight winning streak came to an end against Tommy Fury. The two fighters went the distance for eight rounds before a split-decision victory was ruled in favor of Fury.

A day prior to the fight, Canadian musician Drake had shown support for Paul by betting on him. Drake used his sponsor Stake, a cryptocurrency-based betting platform, to wager $400,000 worth of Bitcoin on Paul to win via knockout and posted a screenshot of his bet on Instagram. The potential payout for the bet was a whopping $1,440,000 in Bitcoin.

After his loss, Jake Paul was asked if the bet affected him in any way. The social media superstar responded in jest and mock-blamed Drake before apologizing and promising to secure the win in the rematch.

Paul also stated that him and Drake were now even, considering the musician has won money off of his wins before.

“F**k. This is Drake’s fault! Drake, bro. Why you do this to me? Nah. Nah, it’s- it’s my fault. But four hundred thousand is nothing to him so. He’s won a lot more money betting on me before so he’s probably about even now. Sorry, Drake. I’mma get that W in the rematch.”
