Jake Paul is finally set to face Tommy Fury after sixteen months of teasing fights and two cancelations. The former YouTube star recently shared that he will be disappointed unless he knocks his opponent out while noting that he has faced tougher opponents.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, the social media personality was asked if he believes Fury will be a tougher matchup than Anderson Silva, to which he replied:
"No. F**k no. That's an insult to Anderson. No, not tougher than Anderson. Not tougher than Tyron [Woodley]. I think he's faster than both of them, I think he throws more punches than both of them, but not tougher. Definitely not tougher."
Jake Paul was then asked if he would be disappointed with a decision victory, responding:
"Yes. Yes. 100 percent. This is a must knock out fight for me, personally, because I know I can do it. I would just be letting myself down. I'm going to win the fight, but if I don't knock him out, yeah, I'll definitely be pissed off because I know I'm capable of it. I just have to execute the game plan... I know I'm going to get that done."
Paul was originally set to face Fury in December 2021, however, the latter was forced to withdraw due to injury. The bout was rescheduled for July 2022, yet it was once again canceled due to travel issues. The two will finally clash this weekend, with the bout taking place in Saudi Arabia.

Jake Paul recruiting Francis Ngannou to join the PFL
Francis Ngannou is a mixed martial arts free agent he couldn't come to terms to extend his contract with the UFC. During the aforementioned appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Jake Paul revealed that he has already begun recruiting the former UFC heavyweight champion, stating:
"Hopefully. I think that's the best thing for him, honestly. I don't think there's a better place for him than the PFL. Working with those guys, working with my team, there's massive things that we could do. We've been in talks and he knows what we have to offer and we'll respect him and appreciate him no matter what, but we're here and ready to work."
Ngannou is among the most coveted mixed martial arts free agents of all time as he is the first reigning champion to leave the UFC since B.J. Penn in 2004. He reportedly turned down an $8 million contract and appears determined for his next bout to be a boxing match, which should ensure the most lucrative payday of his career.
