American superstar ‘JT’ Janet Todd has probably scribbled down some notes she can use for next fight after watching Nong-O Hama’s sensational performance against Alaverdi Ramazanov last January.

After nearly three years of waiting, the interim Muay Thai queen is finally set to challenge Allycia Hellen Rodrigues in a unification world title bout next Friday, March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

Drawing some inspiration from other Muay Thai fighters before her big day, Todd shared her thoughts about Nong-O Hama’s latest world title performance against Alaverdi Ramazanov.

Speaking to ONE, here’s what Janet Todd had to say about the living legend:

“Man. That guy is unstoppable right now. It's so impressive. Yeah, that fight was crazy. He went after him.”

Indeed, Nong-O Hama is invincible at the moment. A Muay Thai living legend with tremendous stopping power, he continues his undefeated reign at ONE Championship with 10 wins and zero losses. However, his last victory against Ramazanov didn’t come easily.

The Russian slugger punished Nong-O in the first two rounds with his speed and reach. But by the time they entered the third round, the Thai superstar flipped the switch and made his rival pay with a barrage of strikes and knees to end the fight in heroic fashion.

Next up for Nong-O Hama is UK superstar Jonathan Haggerty, who will make an attempt at banatamweight gold at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video.

Janet Todd prepared to "nullify” Allycia Hellen Rodrigues’ strengths

Janet Todd expects to emulate Nong-O Hama in her upcoming quest for gold against Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, by promising to nullify her rival’s key strengths next Friday.

The American superstar has every intention of outclassing and outsmarting Rodrigues with a well-thought-out game plan. As she did with Lara Fernandes last July, Todd wants to use her rival’s key strengths against her.

According to Todd, she expects Rodrigues to push the pace right from the onset and set up the clinch. However, Todd insists that this traditional style of Muay Thai fighting will ultimately put her in an uncomfortable position.

Speaking to ONE, Janet Todd elaborated:

“My game plan is to nullify those strengths and be able to get myself in position to be able to use my weapons. I feel confident that if I get into a clinch situation, I know I can get my shots in and get out, or do the anti-clinch thing. Or, if she’s really coming forward, use my teeps and my kicks to keep my distance. I’m preparing for everything.”
