An exciting boxing clash in the form of Jaron Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhian took place on Nov. 9. The bout was for the IBF welterweight title and took place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
'Boots' walked into the fight with an undefeated record of 32-0-1NC. Chukhadzhian, on other hand, had a record of 24-2 prior to their clash. The fight was a rematch as the two boxers first locked horns in January 2023. The bout ended with Ennis taking home a unanimous decision victory.
The rematch started with both fighters taking a cautious approach and landing multiple shots on each other. In the fifth round, 'Boots' landed a barrage of punches that caused Chukhadzhian to go down on his knee.
As the fight progressed, Ennis continued to successfully land heavy blows on his opponent.
Chukhadzhian suffered a point deduction in the 10th round for holding on to his opponent.
The two boxers turned up the aggression in the 12th round and traded heavy shots.
The fight eventually went the 12-round distance and ended with a unanimous decision victory for Ennis. The three judges scored the bout 119-107, 117-109 and 116-110 in favor of 'Boots'.
