'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks wants a showdown against 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson before the all-time MMA great retires.

The top-ranked ONE Championship strawweight fighter issued a callout in a video on Twitter and explained the situation:

"Demetrious Johnson went on Joe Rogan the other day. He said he's about on his way out. I think a perfect last fight for him would be me."

'The Monkey God' proposed unique rules set up for this matchup. He explained:

"A strawweight vs flyweight champion. And if you wanted to make it interesting, we can make it mixed rules as well. We can go one round Muay Thai, second round Jiu-Jitsu, and third round MMA."

Before he can challenge 'Mighty Mouse,' Jarred Brooks will have his hands full at ONE 164 when he faces reigning ONE strawweight world champion 'The Passion' Joshua Pacio. The highly anticipated title match has been booked for December 3, which broadcasts live and for free on Prime Video to North American subscribers.

Jarred Brooks says Demetrious Johnson is the goal

'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks recently explained that fighting Demetrious Johnson is the goal in every fighter's MMA career. Facing 'Mighty Mouse' is a mark of greatness.

While speaking to Tim Wheaton of MMA Sucka, Brooks explained why he wants Johnson:

"That's the goal at the end of the day ... Give me Adriano Moraes. I'll show you I can beat him in spectacular fashion. Then Demetrious is right there. And he needs somebody like me. He needs a heel and someone that can push him."

Demetrious Johnson is coming off a revenge knockout win against the former world champion Adriano Moraes. On Instagram, Brooks called out the all-time MMA great earlier this year. He posted:

"I love DJ! He is the GOAT and I appreciate the name-drop, but I would love to mix it up in there with the GOAT and kindly prove him wrong that there isn't any advantage if we were fighting. I would love to win a world title then trade our knowledge in the circle together."

The US-born wrestler is aiming high in his callout of Johnson, but he still has a task at hand. On December 3, he will face the Filipino-born strawweight king in Manila at ONE 164.
