Jiri Prochazka has fired off a retort to Magomed Ankalaev in their ongoing online war of words. The social media-based trash talk began when the former UFC light heavyweight champion posted on Instagram about how something was coming 'step by step'.
Some were wondering if this was related to Prochazka's return to the cage after his electric finish in January of Jamahal Hill at UFC 311. The post also included a photo of Prochazka inside of a cage which fueled further speculation.
Ankalaev would fire off a barb to Prochazka on X, which would be included in a graphic on the @ChampRDS account. He said:
"Yes, your homework. You are a nerd."

Jiri Prochazka and the reason he did not accept a UFC 317 title fight offer
Jiri Prochazka receiving the comments from Magomed Ankalaev about doing homework and being a nerd are tied to a key element that resulted in the former not accepting an offer for a UFC championship opportunity.
This was relayed on The Ariel Helwani Show when Prochazka's manager Tim Simpson was asked if a title opportunity was presented to the 32-year-old for UFC 317.
When addressing if a Ankalaev vs. Prochazka fight was put on the table for June 28, Simpson said:
"Yes, they inquired about if Jiri could do it. [The UFC] just want to know what their options are and I felt like it may not have been necessarily an option for sure... He's doing his exams. That's legit. He's deferred them so many times. Like, man, 'I can't defer this exam...' So, he wants to finish the exams."
He added:
"But also, he's done a lot [of] short notice stuff for them before and he's like 'man...' When he gets full proper [training] camps, he looks so much better because he's been so diligent with his body. So, I don't think he's going to be a short notice guy any time soon."
Notably, the Czech native is presently studying in his home country at Masaryk University and is firmly fixed on preparing for his exams at this juncture.
