Joe Rogan on deep significance of Japanese samurai arm tattoo 

Joe Rogan revealed he got a tattoo of legendary Japanese samurai, Miyamoto Musashi, after reading 'The Book of Five Rings' at the age of 16.

In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) Podcast with Steve-O (#1900), Rogan spoke about the inspiration behind the tattoo on his right arm and what it means to him.

"My right arm, I have a tattoo of Miyamoto Musashi because I read a quote when I was 16 years old, when I was doing martial arts... I read The Book of Five Rings, and he wrote this book, which is a book on strategy. Miyamoto Musashi was a samurai who killed 62 men in one-on-one combat and he wrote this book about it."

Rogan further continued to explain how a quote from that book led him to get a tattoo of its author and the impact it had on his personal growth as a teenager.

He spoke about one particular quote from the book that stayed with him: 'Once you understand the way broadly, you can see it in all things,' and went on to ellaborate on the idea of difficult things acting as tools to maximize the way our human minds interact with life and situations that arise.

The 55-year-old also has a tattoo of a deity with an open third eye on his left arm with a picture of the molecular structure of an element.

Joe Rogan praises Israel Adesanya for his positive response after his loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 281

During the same conversation with Steve-O, Rogan spoke about his admiration for Israel Adesanya for the way he handled his loss against Alex Pereira at UFC 281.

"The way he responded to that loss was better than anybody ever. The dude showed up to the press conference with a f*****g fur coat on like a king, dope a** watch on...Like a f*****g king. He was saying bring back Steve Mazzagatti because Steve Mazzagatti was a referee who was famous for letting fights go way too long. It was just hilarious."

Adesanya's defeat at UFC 281 marked his third loss to Alex Pereira in his combat career. On the previous two occasions, 'Poatan' got the better of 'The Last Stylebender' in the sport of kickboxing. The Brazilian also remains the only one to ever beat Adesanya via knockout.

However, considering the popularity and success of the Nigerian-born Kiwi, it is highly probable that he will get his rematch against Pereira soon.
