John Lineker's first bout with Fabricio Andrade didn't go as planned, from missing weight to the fight itself. However, he has a chance to right the wrongs in the rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

'Hands of Stone' had a lot of criticism hurled at him from fans after the no contest ruling last October. So much so that he has stayed away from the comment sections on social media.

The former world champion told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview that he's focused on correcting his mistakes:

"I tried not to even see the comments. To this day I haven't logged in to see the comments about it. I preferred to focus and correct my mistakes, to show that I'm capable, that what happened was a technical error, a silly mistake on the scales."

Lineker added:

"Now I have the chance to correct that mistake and prove that I can do it. Losing the title messed me up, but now I'm motivated to get back what's mine."

Despite the mishaps that occurred in his last outing, Lineker has been nothing short of spectacular since signing with ONE Championship. He recorded a trio of knockouts over Kevin Belingon, Troy Worthen, and ultimately Bibiano Fernandes, which earned him the ONE bantamweight world title.

John Lineker impressed by Fabricio Andrade's chin

By now, just about everybody knows how skilled Fabricio Andrade is as a striker, but his durability is underrated. Lineker told Sportskeeda MMA that he was surprised by the shots 'Wonder Boy' was able to absorb.

He stated:

“He's a tough guy and he surprised me in [the first] fight, because he showed himself to be a guy who can take the hits. But now we are working hard on these strong points and we are going in search of this victory”

Lineker and Andrade are both undefeated inside the circle, but one man's unbeaten streak will come to an end while the other will be crowned world champion.

Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch John Lineker rematch Fabricio Andrade for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title, live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The pair’s rematch, as well as the whole ONE Fight Night 7 card, is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
