ONE bantamweight John Lineker is gearing up for his world title fight at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. Ahead of it, he's claimed to be interested in competing in a variation of an openweight MMA world grand prix at some point in the future.ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong recently announced the ONE Openweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix that's set to take place later in 2023. If the promotion hosts a similar tournament for MMA, expect John Lineker to take part.He told Sportskeeda MMA:"If ONE did an MMA GP with a million dollar prize pool, I would be in for sure. But with a weight limit, because fighting a giant, I would definitely get crushed [laughs]. But it would be interesting to have a GP like that in MMA as well. It would be nice."For now, 'Hands of Stone' is focused on reacquiring his bantamweight world title. He and fellow top contender Fabricio Andrade are slated to rematch for the vacant strap.
